DESCRIPTION

At UC San Diego Health, a nationally ranked academic medical center, our CT Imaging Department offers a dynamic, supportive environment where technologists work with the latest advanced imaging technology-including multi-slice and dual-energy CT scanners-to perform high-quality, low-dose scans across a wide range of specialties. As a CT Technologist here, you will prepare and position patients, operate sophisticated CT equipment, adjust scanning parameters, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout each procedure. You will follow strict radiation safety guidelines, review images for quality, collaborate closely with expert radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams, and maintain accurate records. Strong communication skills are essential to explain procedures and support patients effectively.

What sets our CT team apart is the opportunity to engage in complex imaging studies spanning cardiology, neurology, oncology, and trauma within a highly collaborative academic healthcare setting. Our staff are encouraged to participate in continuous learning, protocol development, and clinical trials, positioning UCSD CT technologists as leaders in the field. We are deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centered care, utilizing cutting-edge software and strict dose reduction protocols to ensure every scan is both effective and minimally invasive. Our services are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and consistently recognized for excellence in quality and safety.
