Job description

The Western Mutual Insurance Group has been providing excellent customer service to homeowners throughout the Southwestern United States for over 80 years. We are rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best Company and have been named among the Top 50 Property Casualty Insurers in the country by Ward’s.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Property Claim Supervisor.

Candidate must have excellent leadership and supervisorial skills with the ability to guide and develop a team of adjusters. The candidate must possess excellent writing skills. Must understand and comply with company claim handling procedures as well as applicable department of insurance regulations; and must ensure that direct reports do the same. Will be responsible for effectively handling escalated problem files. The candidate should be able to oversee the triage of all water damage claims to determine which claims need an immediate response to mitigate the company’s exposure. Candidate should be able to review adjuster and vendor estimates and make corrections where appropriate.

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience adjusting property insurance claims and experience with automated claim systems and a minimum of 3 years of supervisorial experience.

Experience with the Xactimate estimating program is preferred.

Experience handling first party litigated claims.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

They will be required to work in the San Antonio office.

Bilingual - English/Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
