Job description

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Manager for the Western Range on the Space Force Range Contract Typical Duties * Manage the Western Range (WR) Logistics Team to support the mission of the Launch, Test, & Range Systems (LTRS * Serve as the main Logistics POC on the WR to both internal and external customers. * Responsible for receipts, issues, transportation, warehousing, O&M, Depot and Engineering support, Base Supply managed items and the daily operation of Logistics. * Monitor workflow to ensure delivery of products on time in accordance with requirements * Ensure work products are reviewed prior to release to ensure a quality product and consistency with Amentum's operating instructions, policies, procedures, and organizational responsibilities * Monitor overall performance of assigned areas to ensure cost efficiency, employee and customer satisfaction, and effective competitive and cooperative strategies. Address issues or concerns through implementation of corrective course of action, as well as recognize personnel through the Amentum Recognition Program * Oversee the creation, preparation, production, and distribution of periodic reports of staffing, workflow, metrics, Contract Deliverable Reports, and other metrics to document objective evidence of business operations * Oversee the analysis of or analyze detailed performance metrics and collaborate with managers and staff to formulate service improvement recommendations. Communicate recommendations to senior management. * Vigorously pursue initiatives to improve the quality, efficiencies, and timeliness of LISC enterprise solutions, products or services, while ensuring LISC Performance Work Statement (PWS) compliance * Ensure all personnel are properly trained to execute their responsibilities and receive initial and recurring guidance, instructions, and direction needed to ensure quality and timely service * Make work assignments to ensure enough qualified personnel are available to meet logistics and property responsibilities * Provide coaching and mentoring to personnel unable to meet Amentum standards for technical quality, customer service, or timeliness * Employ appropriate accounting charge structures in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitor and audit labor charge reports to ensure that company policies and procedures are correctly executed. Identify issues and implement appropriate actions * Team builder with orientation towards group dynamics to create synergy with assigned personnel constantly evolving task lists, and short requirement timelines while balancing contract requirements * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and practical experience * Eight years logistics experience to include six years of supervisory/management experience * Experience working with business management industry practices, principles, methodologies, and tools * Experience with United States Air Force (USAF) Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) programs to include Forward Supply Points, AFEMS and bench stocks. Familiarity with USAF Supply Manual AFMAN 23-122 and AFI 23-101 * Familiarity with cargo movement regulations DoD 4500.9-R Defense Transportation Regulation Part II Cargo Movement, AFIM 24-204 (I) * Familiarity with Contractor-Inventory Control Point operations and management of both Wholesale and Retail spares. * Development and management of processes in concert with company developed commercial logistics programs such as Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. MS Office Project experience highly desired * Familiarity with Maximo desired * Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements. * Periodic travel is required. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Salary and Other Compensation * The annual starting salary for this position is between $115,000 - $125,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may be eligible for bonus or long-term incentive compensation awards.
