Weekend Caregiver Supervisor - Portland, OR

SeaStar Senior Services  Portland, Oregon Pay: $27/hour + $300 flat-rate on-call fee per weekend Schedule: Friday 3:00 PM – Monday 9:00/10:00 AM (weekend coverage)

About the Role

SeaStar Senior Services is looking for a dependable, level-headed Weekend Caregiver Supervisor to own our weekend home care operations. You'll be the go-to person for our caregivers and clients from Friday afternoon through Monday morning - handling call-offs, checking in on clients, coaching caregivers, and keeping families informed. If you're someone who stays calm under pressure, genuinely cares about seniors and adults with disabilities, and likes having ownership over a shift, this is a great fit.

What You'll Do
  • Shift Management: Monitor attendance, manage call-offs, and deploy backup or on-call caregivers to keep every weekend shift covered.
  • On-Call Triage: Be the primary point of contact for weekend emergencies, urgent client needs, and caregiver questions.
  • Client Visits: Conduct drop-in visits to client homes to make sure care plans are being followed and assess caregiver performance.
  • Mentorship: Coach and give feedback to field caregivers.
  • Documentation: Keep client charts and the Wellsky time-tracking app accurate and current.
  • Family Communication: Keep families in the loop on their loved one's status.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with seniors and/or adults with disabilities, dementia, or mental illness
  • Prior supervisory or lead caregiver experience preferred
  • Comfortable being on-call and handling urgent situations independently
  • Reliable transportation for weekend client home visits
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain - we can help with training)
  • Comfortable with Google Docs/Sheets and willing to learn the Wellsky portal
  • High school diploma or GED required; CNA training or college coursework a plus
Pay & Schedule
  • $27/hour for hours worked (client visits, direct care coverage, etc.)
  • $300 flat on-call fee for the weekend on-call period
  • Set weekend schedule: Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 9:00–10:00 AM
