Join our vibrant YMCA community as the Membership Services and Wellness Director, where you will play a vital role in fostering a welcoming environment and promoting health and wellness initiatives. This leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on members' lives while guiding a dedicated team committed to community well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of membership services and wellness programs

- Develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles among members and execute strategies  to drive membership sales and retention

- Recruit, Lead, train, and supervise staff and volunteers to ensure excellent customer service and program delivery

- Manage membership data, reporting, and administrative tasks to support operational efficiency

- Assist with the fitness classes, wellness assessments, member engagement, and program development

- Ensure wellness programs meet the needs of diverse member populations including youth, adults, and seniors

- Track membership trends, goals, and performance metrics

- Collaborate with community partners to expand wellness offerings and outreach efforts

- Monitor program effectiveness and continuously seek opportunities for improvement

- Serve as the point of contact for member concerns or issues

- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of wellness programs and activities including group fitness classes,   personal training, wellness challenges, and health seminars

- Ensure all membership and wellness services are processed accurately and efficiently

- Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations

- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote wellness programs and special events through newsletters, social media, and community outreach

- Create a member-focused culture and model relationship-building skills in all interactions

- Promote a welcoming, positive, and community-focused environment

- May require evening and weekend hours

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Knowledge of health and fitness trends, safety protocols, and YMCA policies

- Proficiency in office programs

- Ability to motivate and inspire staff and members

- Organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
