DESCRIPTION
JOB DESCRIPTION
Thoroughbred Wellness & Recovery is a dedicated behavioral health provider offering detox and residential mental health services to adults. We are seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to play a vital role in delivering quality nursing care while supporting a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for individuals receiving treatment.
We are currently hiring for PRN nurses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct nursing care and medication support to guests in detox and residential mental health settings.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by licensed providers.
  • Monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, mental health status, and overall wellness.
  • Accurately document assessments, medication administration, incidents, and clinical observations.
  • Respond promptly to medical concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse leadership, therapists, and behavioral health staff to support individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and continuity of care processes.
  • Maintain infection control, confidentiality, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Help create a calm, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.
QUALIFICAITONS
  • Education: Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
  • License: Active Georgia LPN license in good standing.
  • Experience: Previous experience in detox, behavioral health, mental health, residential treatment, addiction medicine, or healthcare preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, documentation, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Full-time, on-site position in a 24/7 treatment facility.
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
