This role is fully onsite in Mt. Pleasant, MI

The Sales Engineer I is responsible for direct contact with Dealers, Reps and Customers (usually chain accounts).  Communicates and understands the needs and expectations of each project effectively through orders, quotations and drawings.  Manages projects to completion.  Has the knowledge and experience to manage larger and more complex jobs.  Responsible for more complex configuration and management of chain customers   

Major Accountability

•    Accurate and efficient data entry of various order transactions and promotions.
•    Manages projects from start to completion.  
•    Has a greater knowledge and expertise in configuring custom solutions to address customer needs.
•    Provides “Best in Class” customer service
 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

•    Evaluate and anticipate complex customer needs and translates to configurable and custom products.
•    Process orders accurately within established metrics
•    Originate or revise quotations and/or drawings to meet project needs.
•    Provide a supporting role to Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Service, Parts and Credit departments regarding customers business before and after the sale.
•    Check others work for accuracy and conformance to product and quotation templates.
•    Participation on cross-functional teams to support business growth.
•    Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values.
