Job description

CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST — RALEIGH, NC

(Yes, they’re anxious. No, you don’t have to be.)

Let’s address the group chat meltdown in the room.

This is not one of those psychiatry jobs where:

  • You see 1 kid every 7 minutes
  • “Work-life balance” is said while someone schedules you for Saturday
  • Productivity targets change… mysteriously… quarterly
  • You spend more time clicking boxes than helping people

If that sounds familiar, we’re already friends.

THE PATIENTS (SMALL HUMANS. BIG FEELINGS.)

You’ll work mostly with commercially insured kids & teens who come with:

  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • Mood disorders
  • Parents who start sentences with “I read online that…”

And you won’t come with:

  • Unsafe volumes
  • Emotional hangovers from administrative chaos
  • A pager you hate with your whole soul

THE PAY (BECAUSE STUDENT LOANS ARE A LIFESTYLE)

You earn real money, with unlimited incentives paid in real time.

Meaning:

  • No “bonus review period”
  • No “let’s circle back”
  • No mystery spreadsheet that decides your worth

You work.
You bill.
You get paid.

Revolutionary.

THE SCHEDULE (YES, YOU’RE STILL A PERSON)

  • 100% outpatient
  • Monday–Friday
  • No nights. No weekends. No surprise “hey can you just…” texts

Hybrid options available:
Some in-person. Some telehealth. All sane.

THE SUPPORT (THE PART THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS)

You’ll have:

  • Front desk support (actual humans)
  • Scheduling & billing handled for you
  • Modern offices with technology that works (we tested it)
  • A collaborative crew of psychiatrists, APPs, and therapists

It feels like having your own practice
Except someone else fixes the printer and fights the insurance companies.

BONUS COOL STUFF (OPTIONAL, NOT WEIRD)

  • Advanced treatments like TMS & Spravato (location dependent)
  • CME, licensing, malpractice — covered
  • Relocation & loan repayment options for those fresh out of fellowship
  • Growth opportunities if you want them… silence if you don’t

No pressure to become a “thought leader” on social media.
Unless you want to.
Then fine. We’ll support you.

WHY RALEIGH?

Because your life doesn’t need to be hard and your job at the same time.

Good schools.
Good food.
Good vibes.
Lower burnout per square mile than most major cities.

THE BOTTOM LINE

This is a legit, well-supported, well-paid psychiatry job disguised as a funny ad so only the right psychiatrists stop and read it.

If you’re:

  • BE/BC in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or adult, honestly — we can talk)
  • Looking for a normal, humane, professional outpatient role
  • Tired of pretending chaos is “just part of the field”

This might be your people.

No corporate buzzwords.
No performative wellness posters.
Just good work, done well — and paid appropriately. For more information, contact Russ Carter at (800)783-9152 ext 227 or email admin@fcspsy.com regarding job #NC129E
