Position Overview
As a Surveyor, you will play an integral role in establishing and maintaining methods for safe, accurate and efficient Survey Field Operations. You will have responsibilities over field survey operations and should plan to spend most of your time in the field performing survey field operations.

Weeks Marine has three key divisions - Construction, Dredging and Marine Services - which are bolstered by three major subsidiaries, Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc., McNally International, Inc. and North American Aggregates.
Weeks Marine's vast reach and deep expertise, combined with the sheer size and diversity of its equipment fleet, enables the company to serve as a one-stop shop for clients in both the private and governmental sectors, providing exceptional customer service, environmental sensitivity, operational efficiency, and a long-standing commitment to safety. Weeks Marine is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey, and manages a network of regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Guam, Ontario, and Nova Scotia.
Location
This position will be based out of the Gulf Coast region.
This position works on an 19/9 rotational schedule and required frequent travel.
Responsibilities
• Implementing the project survey plan specific to field operations.
• Responsible for collecting topographic and hydrographic survey data utilizing multiple methods of collection.
• Oversee the operation with periodic reviews of record keeping, field procedures and survey audits to ensure that all work is performed in an efficient and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate and legible field notes.
• Setting and maintenance of control network.
• Performing layout
Qualifications
• Must be willing to work a rotational schedule (19 & 9 adjusted as required) 60-70 hours per week, along with weekends.
• 3+ years' experience in Construction Survey, Dimensional Control, Industrial Measurement, or a related field is preferred.
• Trimble experience is a plus.
• Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations (area, volume, circumference, proportion, percentage)
• Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams
• Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
• Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time
• Must have reliable transportation
