Job description

Dedicated CDL-A Driver — Opelika Regional Fleet

We have a local grocery run opening up based right out of Opelika, Alabama. This is a dedicated position where you get to go home after every single shift. The freight is completely no-touch, meaning you won't have to worry about unloading the trailer yourself.

What You Will Earn

You can choose between a 5-day or a 6-day work week depending on how much you want to make:

If you work 5 days: You will bring home around $800 to $1,200 a week. You also get $10.00 for every single stop you make.

If you work 6 days: You will bring home $1,300 to $1,550 a week. Stop pay bumps up to $10.00 for the first stop and $15.00 for every stop after that.

Average Earnings: On average, drivers on this run end up making $1,200 to $1,500 a week.

Short-Haul Pay: If you get a short run under 51 miles, we pay an extra $40.00 short-haul fee.

How the Run Works

You will be pulling loaded grocery trailers out of Opelika and delivering them to locations around Atlanta, Birmingham, and south Georgia. You can expect to average about 1,200 to 1,800 miles a week.

The Shift: Because this is a 24/7 operation, we have both day and night shifts open. We run weekends and holidays, so you will need to be okay with working those shifts.

The Freight: It is standard live loads, live unloads, and drop-and-hook operations. Again, you are not touching any of the freight.

The Reality of the Lane: This is a slip-seat account, so you will share a day cab with a driver on the opposite shift. You will also deal with some wait times at the delivery docks and pull backhauls on your return trips. But the trade-off is zero physical unloading and sleeping in your own bed every day.

Who Can Apply

Location: You must live within 40 miles of Opelika, AL (36801 zip code area). This includes drivers living on both sides of the Alabama and Georgia state line.

Experience: We welcome brand new trainees (0 months experience) as long as you have your Class A CDL. Experienced solo drivers are highly welcome too.

Team & Owner-Operators: We cannot take teams or owner-operators for this specific run—this is strictly for solo company drivers.

Requirements: You just need a standard Class A CDL and a current DOT medical card. No extra endorsements are needed.

Benefits : Full corporate health coverage (medical, dental, and vision options), paid time off, and company-matching 401(k) retirement options active after 60 days of employment.

Call 605-206-9967 to talk about which shift works best for you and get your schedule locked in.
