Overview
Join our team as a Recreation Attendant at our luxurious resort! We are seeking a fun, energetic and passionate individual to provide outstanding service to our guests. As a Recreation Attendant, you will have the opportunity to interact with guests and provide them with exciting and memorable experiences. You will assist with organizing and conducting recreational activities and events for guests of all ages, including outdoor sports, arts and crafts, and much more. If you have a love for the outdoors and enjoy creating unforgettable experiences, this position is perfect for you!
Responsibilities
  • Provide basic riding and safety instruction to guests to ensure they have a positive experience.
  • Lead entertaining and informative trail rides throughout the property
  • Provide daily care for horse and barnyard animals to include feeding, brushing, washing, and inspecting for health concerns
    • Assist in the exercise and training of the horses to provide safe and worry-free rides and activities in a variety of conditions and locations and with riders of varying skill levels
  • Always ensure safety of guests and colleagues
  • Assist guests in enjoying recreation offerings such as: horseback riding, indoor and outdoor games, guided hikes and tours, team building activities, kids camp, recreational classes, clinics and workshops, and shooting sports for overnight and day guests
  • Provide information to guests regarding all aspects of the resort, upselling offerings in all departments
  • Handle all guest requests, observations and complaints in a timely and effective manner, achieving guest satisfaction
  • Set up equipment for guests, to include games, bikes, kayaks, canoes, fishing equipment, disc golf, etc.
  • Ensure that equipment, tack and feed is properly maintained, put away and stored and that all buildings and gates are secure at the end of the day
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the barnyard, recreation areas, facilities and equipment
  • Liaise with other departments as needed to ensure an exceptional resort experience for guests
  • Complete daily administrative tasks including daily checklists
  • Assist in monthly inventory of equipment and goods
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a customer service position preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of recreational activities and sports
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
