These skills ensure the safety, enjoyment, and education of participants while minimizing risks in dynamic outdoor environments.

Job description

Now Hiring for Spring & Summer 2026!
Get paid to work outdoors, meet awesome people, and create unforgettable experiences in the mountains.
At Highlands Aerial Park, we don't just run zipline tours-we create fun, memorable, and meaningful adventures for our guests every day. We're looking for energetic, outgoing individuals who enjoy working with people, being outside, and being part of a high-performing team.
No prior experience? No problem. We'll train you to be awesome.
What This Role Looks Like
As an Outdoor Adventure Guide, you'll lead and support a variety of experiences throughout the park. Our guides are cross-trained across multiple attractions, creating a dynamic and engaging work environment where no two days are the same.
You may guide or assist with:
  • Zipline tours
  • UTV (side-by-side) guided tours
  • Aerial attractions, including a giant swing and tree climbs
  • Kids and family adventure courses

This is a high-energy, guest-facing role where your attitude, communication, and ability to create a great experience matter just as much as your technical skills.
Quick Snapshot
  • Work outdoors in the mountains in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Lead and support multiple types of adventure experiences
  • Flexible, booking-based schedule (not a traditional 9-5)
  • No experience required - full training provided
  • Earn through commission-based pay and tips on every tour; exceptional guest experiences are often rewarded generously
  • Additional hourly pay may be available for operational and support duties
  • Clear path for growth, increased responsibility, and higher earnings
  • Full pay structure is reviewed during the interview process

What You'll Do
  • Lead and assist guests through safe, fun, and engaging adventure experiences
  • Create a positive, memorable experience for every guest
  • Clearly communicate instructions, expectations, and safety guidelines
  • Support team members and help maintain smooth tour flow
  • Assist with daily operations, including opening/closing duties and general park upkeep
  • Adapt to different roles and responsibilities throughout the day
  • Represent the park with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm

Schedule & Availability
  • This is not a traditional 9-5 role-hours vary based on bookings and seasonality
  • Some days are longer, some are shorter
  • When not booked on tours, time may be yours or used for additional duties
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • Flexible training and scheduling available based on your availability

What We're Looking For
  • Positive, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
  • Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Reliable, adaptable, and willing to take initiative
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to stay engaged, present, and professional throughout the day
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
  • Interest in creating great guest experiences-not just "doing the job."

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old for guide roles (younger applicants may be considered for other positions)
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable being active (walking, hiking, standing for extended periods, working at heights)
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with guests and team members
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Must be able to complete and pass training requirements

Benefits
Why Join Our Team?
  • Work Outside Every Day - Fresh air, mountain views, and an active work environment
  • Great Team Culture - Supportive, high-energy crew that works hard and has fun
  • Strong Earning Potential - Commission-based pay with tips on every tour
  • Opportunities to Grow - Clear path to leadership roles and increased earning potential
  • Free & Discounted Experiences - Enjoy the park and share it with friends and family
  • Learn Valuable Skills - Leadership, communication, safety, and guest experience
  • Not Your Typical Job - Every day is different, fast-paced, and engaging
  • Strong Earning Potential - Commission-based pay with tips on every tour; great service gets rewarded
