Requirements

We are seeking passionate, service-oriented, positive and hard-working individuals
with a love for health and wellness, and an excitement for hospitality.


We are considering both Part Time and Full Time candidates. Availability on all Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays is required.


As an Outdoor Adventure Guide you will be responsible for:
• Facilitating the ropes course

• Leading groups of up to 8 on daily instructional mountain biking outings
ranging from beginner to advanced varying from 2-15 miles in 2 hours.
• Leading & tail groups of up to 20 on daily hiking activities ranging from easy
to very difficult and in the range of 3-12 miles, with elevation from 200-
1500ft while carrying up to a 35lb pack.
• Facilitating programs for corporate and social groups in hiking, mountain
biking, court activities, and team building events on the challenge course.
• Assisting with all outdoor equipment maintenance and usage logs.



QUALIFICATIONS


--Wilderness First Aid or First Responder Certification required.
--1+ previous professional/educational experience as an Outdoor Adventure
guide or educator.
--2 years professional/personal experience hiking and mountain biking.
--2 years’ experience in facilitation of high/low ropes elements OR 2+
years climbing experience.
--Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
--Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays
--Must have reliable transportation
--Knowledge/passion in Health & Wellness


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This role requires a high level of physical activity in an outdoor desert environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun exposure, wind, and uneven terrain
• Ability to stand, walk, hike, and/or bike for extended periods (2–6+ hours per shift)
• Ability to hike distances of up to 12 miles with elevation gains up to 1,500 feet
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or move equipment up to 35–50 pounds regularly (e.g., backpacks, biking gear, safety equipment)
• Ability to carry a loaded backpack up to 35 pounds over uneven terrain for extended distances

Ropes Course Requirements:
• Ability to climb, balance, and maneuver at height on ropes course elements and structures
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, platforms, and belay systems safely
• Comfort working at heights and facilitating participants on elevated elements
• Ability to manage safety equipment, including harnesses, helmets, ropes, and belay devices
• Ability to spot, assist, and support participants physically when needed

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead as needed
• Ability to maintain balance and stability on uneven, rocky, or inclined surfaces
• Ability to safely mount, ride, and control a mountain bike on varied terrain
• Ability to use hands and arms for handling equipment, setting up courses, and assisting participants
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations, including navigating terrain at a faster pace if needed
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of guest service
