Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible individual to work as an actor and tour guide for Halloween Glen.
Employment Type: Part-time Seasonal
Starting Hourly Rate: $18.00
Position Summary
  • Memorize script lines (on own time).
  • Attend one assigned dress rehearsal in September or early October.
  • Wear a costume provided by Milwaukee Recreation.
  • Tour guides will wear his/her own family friendly costume.
  • Perform acting duties on Friday night or Saturday night outdoors.

Supervision Required
Reports to the Recreation Supervisor of Outdoor Education.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous acting experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience working with children and adults.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to hike on trails and uneven terrain.
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork.
  • Display a positive attitude and effectively communicate with participants and staff.
  • Willingness to work varied hours and days.

Working Environment
This work environment includes physical activity such as hiking, working in all weather conditions and performing acting duties in limited lighting along the trails of Hawthorn Glen.
