Job description

We are seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure operations. This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows-based systems, networks, and applications. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced in delivering high-quality support across complex environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based infrastructure, including systems, networks, and applications
Provide technical support to end users through various channels including phone, email, and in-person interaction
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources
Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system administration processes and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support integration and deployment of new technologies
Maintain compliance with current system updates, security patches, and best practices
Support onsite activities, including installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple locations (up to 20% travel) Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Windows system administration or similar infrastructure role
Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise Windows environments
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
Hands-on experience with: Active Directory
Group Policy
DNS
Patch and update management
File server administration
Enterprise email systems (e.g., Exchange or similar) Experience with system deployment tools such as SCCM or MDT
Familiarity with backup strategies and disaster recovery processes
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within complex environments
Excellent communication and collaboration skills Core Competencies Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems environments
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical teams and stakeholders
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in team settings and support shared infrastructure objectives
Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide junior team members and promote best practices
Ownership: Proactive approach to system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills Experience supporting Linux environments (server or workstation)
Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft or equivalent)
Familiarity with security tools and best practices (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection)
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
Working knowledge of SQL Server administration
Experience with IT service management tools or frameworks (e.g., ticketing platforms or ITSM solutions)
