Description
Teasdale Fenton Cleaning & Property Restoration is a family-owned company that has served the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus markets for nearly 200 years. We provide professional cleaning, water mitigation, and disaster restoration services to both residential and commercial customers. Much of our work takes place when customers are dealing with unexpected damage, and our technicians play a critical role in restoring properties and peace of mind. Due to continued growth in our Columbus office, we are seeking experienced Water Mitigation Technicians to join our team.
Compensation: Guaranteed bi-weekly wage of $1,900 (pre-tax), which equals $23.75 per hour plus possible per-job bonuses. Also, once cross-trained on other company services, you could earn additional commission income from those jobs.
Position Overview: Water Mitigation Technicians respond to water loss events, perform mitigation and drying services, and communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management. This role requires physical stamina, technical knowledge, and a strong customer service mindset.
Requirements
  • Prior Water Mitigation experience required
  • IICRC certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, etc.); support available for technicians pursuing certification
  • Ability to work in standing water, confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics), and varied environments
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (minimum 50 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Willingness to be cross-trained in additional company services (e.g., carpet cleaning)
  • Strong attention to health and safety protocols
  • Clear, professional communication with customers and team members
  • Availability for day shift (Monday-Friday) with weekend and on-call rotation as required
  • Must complete pre-employment screening, including:
    • Criminal background check
    • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
    • Drug screening
