Water Mitigation Technician

Are you ready to launch or grow your career in the restoration industry? The company is seeking a dedicated Water Mitigation Technician to join our Production Department in {ADDRESS}. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates as well as experienced technicians looking to work with an IICRC certified company committed to quality water damage restoration services. As a Water Mitigation Technician, you will play a critical role in helping property owners recover from water damage emergencies.

Job Summary

The Water Mitigation Technician performs hands-on water extraction, structural drying, and damage assessment services at residential and commercial properties. Working under IICRC industry standards, this role involves responding to emergency calls, mitigating water damage, and helping restore properties to pre-loss condition. Both entry-level candidates and experienced technicians are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to emergency water damage calls and assess the extent of damage upon arrival
  • Extract standing water from affected structures using pumps, vacuums, and extraction equipment
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters
  • Document moisture readings and job progress accurately using company software or forms
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials such as flooring, drywall, and insulation as needed
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments to prevent mold growth in affected areas
