For nearly two decades, Via Vite has been a destination for guests seeking handcrafted pastas, seasonal ingredients, and thoughtfully prepared cuisine inspired by the traditions of Italy.

We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who is passionate about Italian cuisine, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to a restaurant that values creativity, teamwork, and culinary excellence.

About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations, maintain the highest standards of food quality, and support the continued success of one of Cincinnati's premier dining destinations. You will play a key role in mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in execution, and helping deliver memorable dining experiences for every guest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the CDC with daily kitchen operations
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate culinary team members
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
  • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Support menu development, seasonal features, and special events
  • Manage kitchen operations and staffing in the Executive Chef's absence
