We are actively recruiting an experienced Senior Specification Writer to join our Technical Design Services team in our Dallas office location.  This detail-oriented individual will work to uphold the highest quality standards for technical design and project specifications. 

Responsibilities
  • Working with the design team to select appropriate materials and systems for various project types including commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, interiors, multi-family and data centers
  • Writing project specifications from Corgan master specifications and compiling project manuals
  • Assisting design team with technical guidance during construction contract administration
  • Product research and evaluation
  • Technical design assistance
  • Construction contract administration support of design studio staff
  • Mentoring of design studio technical staff
Qualifications
  • This role is an on-site position.
  • Qualified candidates should be able to work independently, be meticulous and detail oriented, possess exceptional judgment, and be experienced in the ability to communicate the qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship clearly and concisely.   
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
  • 15+ years of experience in the design & construction industry with 10 years of experience as a Specifications Writer
  • Experience in one or more of our market sectors (commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, data centers, and interiors) highly preferred
  • Experience with VisiSpecs software preferred
  • Licensed architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA required

This position is designated as full-time on-site and requires the employee to be physically present at the assigned office location Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 annually - Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York location only

The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
