Job description

Amazing Athletes, a leading provider of sport enrichment programs for children aged 2-12, is seeking a Youth Sports Coach to join their dynamic team. As a Youth Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering fun and engaging multi-sport lessons in a non-competitive environment to children. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching children, a positive attitude and experience working with young children.
THIS POSITION IS PART TIME, WEEKEND WORK ONLY (generally Saturday mornings), and it's NOT EVERY SATURDAY CURRENTLY. We do have openings during the week as well, and we willl consider candidates who would like to work both during the week and weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Delivering 10 different sports lessons, such as soccer, basketball, and tennis to children aged 2-8 years in a non-competitive and supportive environment.
  • Delivering lessons about nutrition and muscle groups to enhance motor skills, physical literacy, and health.
  • Creating and executing engaging lesson plans.
  • Building positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Managing the classrooms, materials and equipment necessary for successful lessons.
  • Ensuring all children are safe, happy and comfortable in each lesson
  • Monitoring and evaluating children's progress and providing feedback to parents.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children aged 1-12 years old
  • 18 years of age or older / minimum eduction: GED or HS grad
  • Passion for teaching and promoting physical education among children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to execute engaging lesson plans.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive disposition
  • Availability to work on Saturday mornings
  • Reliable transportation, must be willing to travel throughout the greater Indianapolis area

Benefits
Our school year coaches all make at least $20 / hour.
Saturday mornings would range from 2 hours to 4 hours max.
Retirement account matching (3%) starting in 2026.
