Job description

Position Summary
As a Sterile Processing Technician for STERIS, you'll work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. Working in the Sterile Processing Department, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring medical instruments are clean, sterile, organized, and available for the surgical team.
This is an onsite role based in Durham, NC, supporting afternoon shift, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday through Friday.
What you'll do as a Sterile Processing Technician II:
  • Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case
  • Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets
  • Participate in regular on-site training

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 year Sterile Processing experience with CRCST or CBSPD certification or 2 years' experience
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification (or willing to complete within 12 months of hire)

Pay range for this opportunity is $20.84 - $26.97.
