Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Weekend Shift)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team on the weekend shift (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 hours but paid for 40 hours). In this crucial role, you will act as the primary point of contact and coordinator for our programs, leveraging your expertise to develop comprehensive recovery plans for a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed reviews of contract and design requirements to ensure the acceptance of quality notifications, actively tracking project schedules and deliverables, and collaborating closely with the Unit Manager to optimize contract performance metrics. Your experience will be beneficial as you interface with both Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to effectively manage changes to component designs and support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing precise person-hour estimates. This position also offers the opportunity to take on special assignments as deemed necessary, making it an excellent opportunity to further enhance your engineering career in a collaborative environment.

Location: On-site in Mount Vernon, IN

Your Day to Day as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer Weekend Shift: Serve as the primary point of contact/coordinator for the program. Assist in developing detailed recovery plans for projects and resolve complex issues. Perform reviews of contract and design requirements for acceptance of quality notifications. Track status of project schedules and deliverables and recommend strategies to improve or recover to meet customer deadlines. Work with Unit Manager to maintain contract performance metrics. Interface with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to manage change to component designs Support quotes for new work by reviewing technical requirements and preparing person-hour estimates Perform special assignments as deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or civil engineering; candidates with a degree from an ABET accredited institution will be preferred. Four (4) years of engineering experience in heavy industrial or large manufacturing environment. The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance is required. US Citizenship is required.
