Travel Required: Yes, throughout Marshall, MN
Salary: $19.61 -$22.10 Per Hour, 4-6 Hours per Weekend
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Marshall Public Schools is seeking applications for the position of Weekend Security.
Job Summary: The Weekend Security employee performs routine security checks to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position supports district operations by monitoring facilities, responding to operational concerns, and assisting custodial and maintenance staff as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled security checks as designated
  • Check freezers, boilers and other designed areas to ensure proper functioning
  • Monitor facilities and respond to security issues as they arise
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Special Boiler License required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions: Inside and outside climatic environment: occasionally subjected to extremes of temperature, noise and vibrations. Atmospheric conditions occasionally include fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, and poor ventilation. Occasionally personal protective equipment such as respirators, dust masks, gloves, eye protection, and special clothing may be needed. May deal with distraught or difficult individuals.
Physical Requirements: Some lifting, bending, pushing and moving heavy objects, standing and walking for extended periods of time. The ability to shovel snow, as needed.
