Job description

Direct Support Professional for Weekend Shifts 8 am-8 pm and 8 pm-8 am Saturday and Sunday


Responsible for providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to persons' with disabilities in accordance with program policies and procedures; and personal centered goals by performing the following duties.* Sign on bonus of $600 dollars after working eight consecutive weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


1.Assist with information gathering for Individual Centered Goals, and other assessments;

2.Assistpersons' with disabilitieswith maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly home by following safety and infection control procedures; educatepersons with disabilities about maintaining homes.

3.Maintain and expand skills and knowledge relevant to providing high quality support and services.

4.Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings and apply the information to supportpersons' with disabilitiesserved;

5.Maintain open communication and cooperative work effort with Residential Program Manager and other staff to assure quality and consistency of support topersons' with disabilitiesserved;

6.Support the Project Redirect Mission, Vision, and Core Values while empowering eachpersons' with disabilitiesto direct their own life choices;

7.Report and/or document routine and unusual events including completing daily logs, accident reports, outcome data sheets, etc. in a concise, understandable, and legible manner;

8. Assistpersons' with disabilitieswith fiscal management while safeguarding their funds. This may include completing ledgers, reconciling accounts and assisting people with spending choices;

9. Ensure thatpersons' with disabilitiesexercise their rights and that rights are not restricted without due process; ensure thatpersons' with disabilitiesare treated with dignity and respect.

10.Responsible for ensuring that all ISP's and Behaviors programs are implemented and feedback given to the Residential Manager.


Education and/or Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent. One years' experience withpersons with disabilitiesor as required by regulations. Must be 18 years of age, or older.


Certificates, Licenses or Registrations:

Must possess CPR and TME certification.Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record as defined by Project ReDirect policy. Clear background checks as defined by DDS and Project Redirect regulations and policies.

1.Must possess good verbal, reading, and written communication in English;

2.Basic math skills; and basic computer skills.

3.Must possess the ability and willingness to successfully complete and apply training.

4.Must be flexible and reliable.
