Job description

CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse – Emergency Medicine (ER RN) to provide full-time services at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is an excellent opportunity to support active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families as a federal civilian contractor.

Compensation Details:

Pay Rate: $66.91 per hour.

Weekday Night Shifts: +$1/hr. ($67.91/hr.)

Weekend Days & Weekend Nights (Saturdays and Sundays): +$1/hr. ($67.91/hr.)

H&W: $5.09/hr.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Emergency Room RN experience within the last two (2) years.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license from any U.S. state or territory. certifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
  • Recognize and respond to emergent, non-emergent, and life-threatening conditions.
  • Assess and interpret normal and abnormal vital signs.
  • Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs.
  • Conduct focused physical assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical changes.
  • Operate Emergency Department equipment and patient monitoring systems.
  • Operate and monitor resuscitation equipment including:
  • Defibrillators
  • Cardiac monitors
  • Rapid infusers
  • Suction devices
  • Airway equipment and ventilators
  • Infusion pumps
  • Assist physicians with emergency procedures.
  • Perform gastric tube insertions and urinary catheter placements.
  • Initiate intravenous access and collect laboratory specimens.
  • Draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
  • Provide care and maintenance of central venous lines.
  • Independently administer, monitor, reconstitute, and titrate critical care and emergency medications.
  • Perform moderate sedation procedures within scope of practice.
  • Manage patient flow throughout the Emergency Department, including triage, admissions, referrals, and transfers.
