Nurse House Supervisor

Job Title: House Supervisor

Location: Lincoln, NE 

Department: Nursing 

Reports to: DON 

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Shifts Available: Every Weekend and One day a week, 6:30am-6:30pm or Every Weekend 6:30am-6:30pm

Job Summary: 

The Nurse House Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating nursing services within the facility. The House Supervisor works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, compliance with regulations, and the efficient management of nursing staff and resources. 

Clinical Oversight: 

  • Assist the DON in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices and protocols. o

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care by monitoring resident health and making necessary adjustments to care plans. 

  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. 

Staff Management: 

  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). 

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing staff. 

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment through regular team meetings and professional development opportunities. 

Resident Care: 

  • Ensure that all resident care is delivered in accordance with their individual care plans.

  • Address and resolve any resident or family concerns related to nursing care. 

  • Participate in care conferences and communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid state license for Nebraska.

  • Experience: 3 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred. 

  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. 

  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications required, and certification in Gerontology or related fields preferred.
