ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Applies a systematic approachincludingengineering principles such as lean manufacturing to ensure equipment ismonitored, issues are diagnosed adequately, repairs and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment are performed according to an established schedule.

• Implementscontinuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and reduction of waste in the production process.

• Supervises a team that interprets work orders and specifications todetermineif machines and equipment require replacement, repair, or general maintenance.

• Investigate,identify, and resolve operational constraints in the process while eliminating and minimizing bottlenecks to prevent operational downtime.

• Analyzes daily data for department processes and equipment to ensure operations are performed consistently.

• Ensures the operations team performs tasks and responsibilities according to the established standard operating procedures and checklists.

• Ensures the department is prepared and set up daily for maximumefficiencies.

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of key performance indicators and their impact on operations.

• Monitor work schedules to ensuremanningis attheestablished standard to meet the dailyscheduleattainment. Ensuresaccuraterecordof staffing and time worked.

• Supervise all employees, monitoring work performance, directing work, ensuringaccuratetimekeeping, and ensuring team members are trained and qualified and performing duties safely

• Adheres to all Company policies and standard operating proceduresregardingproduct quality, food safety, and workplace safety.

• Collaborates with operations and other support departments to ensure seamless integration of mechanical engineering activities into the overall production process.

QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS

Required:

• High School orGED.

• At minimum twoyearsrenderingor maintenance experience

• Strong communicationskillsincludingthe ability to communicate with team members at all levels within the organization and regulatory agencies.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or associate'sdegree in an engineering or related field and/or two or more years of supervisory experience with protein, rendering or similar processing facility preferred

• Bi-lingual preferred but notrequired

• Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• The hours and days of work areestablishedby departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
