What is a weekend remote technology sales professional?

A Weekend Remote Technology Sales job involves selling technology products or services—such as software, hardware, or IT solutions—while working remotely during weekends. Professionals in this role engage with potential customers through calls, emails, or virtual meetings, understanding their needs and recommending suitable tech solutions. The remote aspect allows flexibility in work location, while weekend hours cater to clients or companies needing extended sales coverage. Success in this role typically requires strong communication skills, sales experience, and technical knowledge related to the products being sold.

How does working remotely on weekends in technology sales impact team collaboration and client communication?

In a weekend remote technology sales role, you’ll often coordinate with team members and clients who may operate on varied schedules. Most teams use collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, or CRM platforms to stay connected and ensure seamless communication. While direct, real-time interactions may be less frequent during weekends, clear documentation and prompt follow-ups are essential to maintain momentum with leads and projects. Flexibility and strong self-management skills help you stay aligned with team goals and provide timely responses to clients, ensuring sales processes run smoothly even outside traditional hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekend remote technology sales professional?

To thrive as a Weekend Remote Technology Sales professional, you need a strong understanding of technology products, sales techniques, and customer relationship management, typically supported by sales experience or relevant certifications. Familiarity with CRM software, virtual meeting platforms, and digital sales tools is crucial for managing leads and closing deals remotely. Outstanding communication, self-motivation, and resilience are key soft skills that help you build rapport and overcome challenges in a remote setting. These skills and qualifications are vital for effectively engaging customers and driving sales performance in a competitive, technology-driven market.

Job description

Location: While this role is open to remote candidates across the United States, team members located within 40 miles of our Scottsdale headquarters (9451 E. Via de Ventura, Scottsdale, AZ 85256) are expected to work onsite four days per week to support collaboration, speed, and execution. Specific scheduling and flexibility will be guided by your leader to support both team collaboration and individual productivity.

As a CX Specialist supporting Mid-Market customers, you'll help organizations transform the way they connect with their customers. This is a consultative sales role focused on uncovering business challenges, guiding digital transformation, and delivering measurable business outcomes through Nextiva's AI-powered Unified Customer Experience Management (Unified-CXM) platform. You'll partner with business leaders to simplify complex technology, modernize customer engagement, and create experiences that drive growth, loyalty, and operational efficiency. If you enjoy solving business problems, building trusted relationships, and winning in a fast-moving technology environment, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the full sales cycle for an assigned portfolio of Mid-Market accounts, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close.
  • Build trusted relationships with business and technology decision-makers by understanding their strategic priorities and customer experience goals.
  • Position Nextiva's Unified-CXM platform as a business solution that improves customer engagement, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations that uncover customer challenges and align solutions to measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans that generate qualified pipeline and drive predictable revenue growth.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to each customer's business needs.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, Channel Partners, and cross-functional teams to create winning customer experiences.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting, and pipeline hygiene within Salesforce.
  • Leverage AI-enabled sales tools, customer insights, and automation to improve prospecting, prioritize opportunities, personalize outreach, and increase sales effectiveness.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging AI technologies, competitive solutions, and evolving customer experience strategies to serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets while maintaining a customer-first approach that supports long-term growth and retention.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying B2B technology sales experience, preferably selling into Mid-Market or Enterprise organizations.
  • 3+ years selling one or more of the following: CCaaS, UCaaS, SaaS, CRM, CX, AI, or cloud technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through close.
  • Experience engaging executive-level decision-makers and building credibility with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong consultative selling, discovery, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline, manage opportunities, forecast accurately, and consistently exceed sales goals.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform to manage customer relationships and sales activity.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology solutions to customer outcomes and ROI.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a willingness to responsibly adopt AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, customer engagement, and business results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling customer experience (CX), contact center, communications, or AI-powered software platforms.
  • Experience working with channel partners or partner-driven sales motions.
  • Familiarity with solution-based or value-based sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Challenger, or Command of the Message.
  • Experience selling into highly regulated or complex industries such as healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, or retail.
