Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough behavioral health psychosocial assessments to determine the needs and challenges of clients and families.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the specific diagnosis, age, cultural, and ethnic background of each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities to promote client engagement and foster change.
  • Effectively manage crisis situations by employing intervention strategies and problem-solving techniques during therapy sessions.
  • Act as an advocate for clients by encouraging active participation of patients and families in their treatment plans and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of all clinical interactions, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in case consultations to ensure comprehensive care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with diverse populations, including adults as well as children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health issues. Your expertise will help you provide culturally responsive care that meets the unique needs of each individual and their family dynamics.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an active California State license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the mental health field, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
  • Proficiency in performing intake assessments and creating personalized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings or outpatient programs is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Solution-Focused Therapy.
