The Valiant Mind Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a telehealth work setting, allowing you to conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and provide comprehensive follow-up care from the comfort of your own home. This remote position allows for a flexible, 40-hour workweek, with the ability to choose your hours primarily between Monday through Friday, and as needed on weekends. You will engage with a diverse patient population via telehealth, utilizing modern communication tools to facilitate effective counseling sessions while ensuring a supportive and confidential atmosphere.

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to assess patients' needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and assess the appropriateness of care levels for each patient.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals and institutional programs to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Complete detailed statistical reports and maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress.
• Lead group therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to individuals in mental health observation units.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision to enhance your professional development and counseling skills.
• Engage in case conferences and contribute to treatment planning discussions for patients receiving or being considered for mental health treatment.
• Perform psychological testing as required and supervise interns or student volunteers to facilitate their learning.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of a valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and provide clear documentation.
• Proficiency in telehealth technologies and platforms is preferred, given the remote work nature of the role.

Prior experience in a mental health counseling setting—whether in an outpatient, inpatient, or telehealth environment—is highly valued. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and an understanding of the psychosocial factors influencing mental health treatment can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
