The Senior Intelligence Analyst will specialize in Narrative Risk Intelligence. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in intelligence using Blackbird.AI's Constellation analytics platform to conduct social media analysis, identify risk areas, and create compelling client deliverables.
In this role, the Senior Analyst will lead projects for prominent private and/or public sector clients, through the provision of analytic reports, briefings, and customer training on Blackbird's technology tools. The Senior Analyst will also work closely with the Blackbird Customer Success team to ensure client satisfaction throughout a project's lifecycle. The candidate will also provide support to various commercial, product, and marketing initiatives.
As the Senior Intelligence Analyst you'll have the chance to:
  • Lead client reporting projects as the Blackbird intelligence representative.
  • Conduct social media intelligence analysis using Blackbird.AI's Constellation analytics platform to identify and monitor risk areas.
  • Create client deliverables, including reports and presentations, based on analytical insights.
  • Maintain positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including the provision of training, onboarding, and other support services to customers.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Blackbird.AI's Constellation software product to external audiences.
  • Contribute to other commercial opportunities such as marketing and thought leadership content creation, or sales support activities.
  • Perform other ad hoc intelligence, support, product, R&D, and administrative tasks, including Quality Assurance checks for Blackbird.AI's software products.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in producing intelligence products, preferably for both private and public sector clients, with a strong preference for candidates from strategic communications, crisis communications, consultancy, or PR-related backgrounds.
  • Experience in social media analysis, specifically leveraging social media data for enterprise-level intelligence work.
  • Familiarity with mainstream and alternative social media platforms, including their users, audiences, content, structures, and mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in intelligence practices and methodologies, encompassing the identification of key collection sources, assessment of raw intelligence, research, network analysis, and the preparation of comprehensive intelligence reports for enterprise-level clients.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, enabling the creation and delivery of timely, concise, and accurate intelligence reports and briefings.
  • Strong professionalism, self-motivation, efficiency, and a track record of delivering on tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience with software tools such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Meltwater, Dark Owl, Dataminr, Tableau, and Asana is highly advantageous.
  • Previous involvement in both qualitative and quantitative project management is a plus.
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, German, or Farsi are welcome, but not required.

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $168,000, with final placement determined by geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity:
  • Tier 1: $112,000 - $168,000
  • Tier 2: $106,000 - $159,000
  • Tier 3: $100,000 - $150,000
