  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends and developments in local, state, and federal behavioral health programs to ensure compliance and best practices.

  • Act as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, engaging with staff and external healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

  • Execute timely evaluations and assessments for new and existing patients, ensuring that all interactions are handled with courtesy and professionalism.

  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and counseling as necessary, addressing acute mental health situations with sensitivity and expertise.

  • Facilitate referrals for clients requiring inpatient treatment or specialty care, ensuring they are directed to appropriate facilities or resources outside of our clinic.

  • Screen patients for issues related to prescription drug abuse, alcohol use, and illicit drug use, delivering appropriate counseling and referrals to additional support services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with a patient population that includes individuals facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to complex psychosocial issues necessitating nuanced intervention. Working within a hospice center framework, you will also engage with clients and families navigating end-of-life discussions, offering essential emotional support and guidance.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

  • A valid and current LCSW license to practice in Pennsylvania is mandatory.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills, with a focus on counseling individuals in various settings.

  • Strong judgment and crisis intervention abilities, along with a proven capacity to handle sensitive situations with discretion.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information to both clients and administration.

  • Experience in utilizing electronic health records and other digital tools to manage patient information efficiently.

  • A commitment to cultural competency, enabling you to work effectively within a diverse team and with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a hospice or palliative care setting is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with telehealth services and digital communication platforms is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and intervention strategies in behavioral health.

The LCSW position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, ensuring that you are valued for your hard work. Additionally, we provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to promote your well-being.
