Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. This full-time role, based remotely, focuses on delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals facing mood disorders, including depression and anxiety. The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of post-licensure experience and will be instrumental in developing tailored care plans that prioritize patient mental well-being.

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide mental health support from the comfort of your own home while connecting with clients via telehealth platforms. Our organization values work-life balance, and we operate under a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to meet client needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the nature and severity of clients' mood disorder symptoms, using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans, incorporating their feedback and preferences to foster engagement in their recovery journey.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in direct client sessions.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with knowledge about mood disorders, treatment pathways, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document clients' progress systematically, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on their evolving needs.
• Work alongside psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated care approaches, ensuring a holistic understanding of clients' needs.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and research in mood disorder treatments and mental health practices to continually enhance your skill set.
• Maintain precise and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in weekly case consultations and team meetings aimed at optimizing care delivery and supporting ongoing professional development.
• Advocate for clients, striving to diminish the stigma surrounding mental health issues and promoting their overall well-being.

You will be working primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse clientele includes people from different backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. Your role will involve understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by each client, thereby making a significant impact on their mental health journey.

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Massachusetts.
• At least two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders, demonstrating your ability to deliver effective care.
• Thorough knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, with practical experience in CBT and DBT.
• Understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling the development of rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly within community health clinics.
• Proven history of achieving positive outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and adapting therapeutic practices for remote settings.
