Job description

Our organization is seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to become part of our team in Fayetteville, AR.

JOB SUMMARY:

This role involves conducting x-ray examinations, which includes understanding body mechanics and patient mobility through a solid grasp of anatomy and physiology. The technician will operate diagnostic machinery, develop images, and prepare the examination room with the necessary tools and supplies for procedures, in addition to fulfilling Medical Assistant responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following tasks outline the primary expectations for this role, though they are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

  • Warmly welcomes patients upon their arrival in the waiting area, examination room, or x-ray room.
  • Maintains clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guides them through the treatment process.
  • Addresses patient concerns and identifies when to seek assistance in urgent or hazardous situations.
  • Conducts follow-up calls with urgency and care.
  • Supports front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out processes when required.
  • Accurately records patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical history, including current medications and allergies.
  • Assists in transferring patients as needed.
  • Provides support during procedures under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider.
  • Adheres to documentation protocols and completes all necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
  • Conducts timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Implements quality control measures to ensure high standards in examinations.
  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures while following established clinical and regulatory safety protocols, including radiation protection techniques.
  • Ensures all equipment is functioning properly and reports any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
  • Commits to ongoing improvement of diagnostic imaging skills and knowledge through external educational resources.
  • Maintains current licensure and certification for the facility's radiology equipment.
WHAT’S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time employees will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed.

WHAT’S REQUIRED?
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • AR State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
