Job description

Overview

As a Radiologic Technologist at our Raleigh Campus, you'll be part of a high-performing team supporting a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center, where your expertise directly contributes to life-saving care.
What you'll be doing
As a Radiologic Technologist, you'll operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images under the direct order of a physician. You'll support multiple clinical areas across the hospital, including:
    • Emergency Department
    • Operating Room
    • Pediatrics
    • Fluoroscopy
    • Portable Imaging
    • Outpatient Procedures
  • Producing clear, accurate radiographs and maintaining strong image quality using radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment.
  • Ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures; communicating any changes or abnormalities promptly.
  • Adjusting equipment per protocols, performing minor maintenance, and reporting major issues.
  • Documenting diagnostic information accurately within the electronic medical record.
  • Working closely with physicians and specialists in reviewing imaging findings.
  • Setting proper exposure, angles, and distances according to exam specifications.
  • Reviewing orders, preparing equipment, and prioritizing workflow to ensure efficiency.
  • Explaining procedures in a clear, calming way to support patient understanding and ease anxiety.

Possible paid cross-modality training after 1-year of full-time employment in this role.
