POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 sign-on bonus ($10,000 for new graduates) provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements
- Relocation Assistance: $5,000 Relocation Assistance for qualified candidates
- Location: Winston Salem, NC
- Hours: Monday-Friday 0830 to 1700, on-call responsibilities and holiday coverage
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Completion of Special Procedures Training Program or one year experience as a technologist in Special Procedures.
- Completion of one week sterile technique training program to be provided by the OR education coordinator, if no prior Special Procedures experience or/with surgical technique
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
- CPR certification required - BLS.
- Registered Cardiovascular-Interventional Technologist ( ARRT- CV or VI) preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies. Recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergency situations.
- Provides technologist coverage for 24-hour emergency endovascular surgical services.
- Performs or assists in performing procedures and/or diagnostic tests and/or therapeutic exams, as well as maintains files and compiles records according to procedure as required for accurate and current departmental records and/or reports.
- Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote and improve quality patient care and maintains appropriate education/credentials to accomplish work objectives.
- Performs routine analysis on imaging equipment to assure proper working conditions and a minimum of downtime.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good oral, written, and listening communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize clinical responsibilities
