Unió Digital is a Tucson, Arizona-based full-service information technology, cloud services provider, and structured cabling company offering comprehensive managed I.T. services, hosted email/voice/security solutions, and low-voltage cabling services. We believe in dreaming big and making it real, and we're looking for a skilled project manager who shares our vision and passion for delivering exceptional results to clients.

We are seeking an experienced project manager to join our small but passionate team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of structured cabling and IT onboarding/maintenance projects; maintaining a project schedule, coordinating with suppliers / general contractors / clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

The project manager will serve as the primary project interface for designated projects, responsible for project execution and delivery of projects that align with the client and project requirements and our best practices. We are looking for a proven project manager who can juggle multiple priorities and use excellent problem-solving skills to navigate any challenges that arise. A keen eye for detail and a background using project management tools is a key component to this role.

Prior experience in construction, low voltage, or telecommunications is ideal but not required.

Duties

  • Full project lifecycle management: planning, execution, control, and closure of structured cabling, IT onboarding, and IT maintenance projects. Including ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including milestones, deadlines, and communication plans.
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers, clients, general contractors, other subcontractors, and our internal teams.
  • Attend on-site meetings in Tucson, Arizona, and the surrounding areas.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess feasibility, identify potential challenges ahead of the project kickoff, and project closeout review.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address technical queries and issues in a timely manner, either through direct intervention or escalating to the appropriate team.
  • Collaborate with the procurement lead for timely acquisition of materials for projects, ensuring supplies are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage project costs and develop financial forecasts.
  • Keep meticulous records of project activities and documents, including invoices, contracts, change orders, drawings, as-built drawings, testing reports, checklists, etc.
  • Report on project status and profitability regularly to the leadership team.
  • Regularly review and update client documentation and process documentation.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to implement the best solution for our clients.
  • Conduct project close-out activities, including obtaining client acceptance, addressing project disputes, and releasing project resources.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess the outcomes and identify areas for improvement for future projects.

  • Proven experience in project management and project management processes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and a knack for helping align team and client objectives.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or proven background in project management principles.
  • Ability to multitask and manage various projects concurrently.
