What you’ll be doing:
Core Responsibilities
- Set up, program and operate CNC Mills and Wire EDM machines to process materials per print specifications. Both production and one-off tooling components, so lots of variety!
- Collaborate with department manager and toolmakers to meet scheduling requirements.
- Perform quality assurance checks on components.
- Suggest and implement best practices, cost-saving ideas, and equipment improvements.
- Maintain proper file management for all programs.
- Ensure machines are properly maintained and running at optimal performance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Recognize, report, and correct errors.
- Provide tooling maintenance support.
- Perform scheduled or as-needed maintenance duties.
Who are we looking for?
Education
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2 Year Machine Tool or Tool & Die Certificate preferred
· Minimum 5 years CNC experience preferably in a Tool & Die environment
- EDM experience is a PLUS!
· Minimum 2 years programming experience preferably with MasterCam and Solidworks
Knowledge & Skills
· Ability to read blueprints with GD&T.
· Strong in-person communication skills.
· Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
· Ability to follow verbal and written procedures.
· Analytical skills for tool debugging and root cause analysis.
- Programming with Solidworks or Mastercam
Physical Demands
· Lift up to 35 pounds repetitively.
· Work in a fast-paced environment.
· Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and manual handling.
· Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
