Job Description:

Portable Toilet Driver......CDL is not required, must be able to drive a manual transmission, pre-employment drug test and DOT physical is required, some heavy lifting.

For insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or older.

Some overtime and occasional weekend work.

Job Summary:

Drive service truck to various job sites to deliver, pick-up, clean, and empty portable toilets and maintain them to AC&T standards. Represent our company in a friendly and professional manner. Report/communicate any problems, potential problems, inaccessibility to units, etc., to your supervisor in a timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive company vehicle to job sites to deliver, pick-up, or service portable toilets and maintain them to AC&T standards.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Operate company vehicle and equipment safely and maintain vehicle in good, clean operating condition.
  • Follow proper service procedures.
  • Perform daily inspection of vehicle and notify supervisor or mechanic of any problems with vehicle.
  • Complete, sign properly, and turn in all daily paperwork.

Experience:

Prior experience preferred, but not required. On the job training will be provided.

Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Good communication skills are required.

Special Requirements:

Must not have any points on DMV record. Company will send you for DOT physical once job is offered.

Physical Requirements/working conditions:

Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift portable toilets onto & off of truck. Must be able to pull/carry hose from truck to portable toilet to service unit. Will also be required to carry bucket with deodorizer weighing approximately 40 lbs. from truck to unit.

Walking 3% Lifting overhead 2% Average lbs. 50

Standing 5% Reaching 10%

Bending 15% Finger dexterity is required to perform job

Service Procedure:

  • All waste will be pumped from the tank and other debris removed.
  • All surfaces will be scrubbed with brushes from chest level down.
  • The floor will be cleaned of mud, ice, and other debris.
  • The urinal will be scrubbed inside and out including periodic de-scaling as needed.
  • Graffiti will be removed as much as possible weekly.
  • Fresh water and deodorizer will be added to tank.
  • Deodorizing spray will be used as needed.
  • Toilet tissue will be replaced or replenished.
  • Screens, urinal hose, and seat will be checked and replaced as needed.
  • Needed repairs will be done or reported to supervisor.
  • Proper and level placement of portable toilet will be confirmed.
  • Driver will sign and date the service log in each unit.
  • If a unit is blocked or in some way inaccessible, perform all duties except pumping which you are able to perform.
  • Units blocked or inaccessible will be tagged with an explanation and marked accordingly on route sheet. Contact job site supervisor and tell him what has been done.
