Job Summary

Tidy Services is looking for a Portable Restroom Service Driver to be part of a team of people who are committed to providing quality service to customers. This is an appreciated and essential position. The job includes servicing portable restrooms and sink units within our service area, by cleaning, pumping, and restocking supplies. This may include (but is not limited to) individual homes, construction sites, schools, community events, and festivals. At times it will be necessary to pump out RV holding tanks and external tanks used on trailers and other temporary sites.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Portable Restroom Service Driver include, but are not limited to:

  • Service portable toilets on assigned routes, i.e. cleaning, pumping, restocking supplies.
  • Complete a daily vehicle inspection using an app on a smartphone to ensure safe operating conditions, notating if there is defective equipment.
  • Clean trucks or compactor bodies after routes have been completed.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
  • Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns or other maintenance problems, or traffic problems.
  • Responsible for using the work app on a smartphone to complete each job every day.
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Drivers represent Tidy Services and are expected to be friendly, professional, and provide excellent customer service.
  • As part of being a team player, be responsible for any additional duties as assigned by management. This includes driving other vehicles within the truck fleet or performing additional services to assist the company in achieving customer demands.

Requirements:
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Have an insurable driving record: have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience with no major moving violations (reckless driving, DUI, etc.), no other moving violations within the past 12 months, and no more than two (2) in the past three (3) years
  • Able to read and comprehend GPS systems and use Google Maps or similar programs
  • Able to use a smartphone
  • Able to pass a background check for access to secured sites
  • Able to work flexible hours, as required, is essential
  • During peak season (April - October) hours will include evenings, weekends, and sometimes holidays
