Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking an organized, customer service friendly and dependable pharmacy technician:

  • Build patient relationship by helping and resolving patient issues in a manner that exceeds customer expectation.
  • Inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of medications.
  • Using pharmacy management system to accurately process and prepare prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency and proper insurance claim billing
  • Assist pharmacist in coordinating clinical services i.e Adherence Packaging, MedSync, Medication Therapy Management, Medicare D Open-Enrollment activities
  • Assists in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community i.e. other health care providers, medical provider detailing and other outreach endeavors.
  • Develops and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Assists in scheduling and maintaining workflow

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified technicians (CPhT) preferred
  • State Board of Pharmacy requirements: minimum age, qualification, and registration.
  • Greater than 2-year preferred customer service experience in a retail pharmacy
  • Experience managing, ordering, compounding, and controlling inventory

Physical requirements

  • Lifting up to 35 pounds

Engage in pharmacy related business and management seminars and trainings.

Tentative Schedules: (flexibility always exists in schedules)

  • Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri (8a-5pm)
  • No Weekend or Night Shifts
  • Closed on Public Holidays

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and/or criminal background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
