Assembler I

Location: Durham, NC
Pay Rate: $18.20/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Job Summary

The Assembler I is responsible for performing a variety of electro-mechanical assembly tasks related to the fabrication, integration, testing, and packaging of automated pharmacy machine equipment. This role focuses on building sub-assemblies and integrating them into larger system builds within a regulated manufacturing environment. Team members follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards to ensure product integrity, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly of components and sub-assemblies
  • Integrate sub-assemblies into larger automated pharmacy machine systems
  • Perform fabrication, testing, inspection, and packaging activities
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct quality inspections in accordance with established specifications
  • Follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards at all times
  • Use basic measurement tools such as microscopes, gauges, and other inspection equipment
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Rotate between tasks and responsibilities as production needs require
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, and supervisors
  • Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills when working through production challenges such as part shortages, staffing shortages, or tool availability
