Job Description
Position Overview
The PCC Audio Visual Technician's role is to support properties that AV Concepts services, including the Phoenix Convention Center. In this role you will lead and perform set and strike, and general operation of the event AV.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Inventory Management System (Intellievent) to check equipment in and out, write orders, print client orders for after hour support, and pull reports as required.
  • Partner with the property engineering teams for power and other services needed for deployment.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure damaged equipment is tagged and returned to the Tempe warehouse for repair.
  • As-needed work with other venues on AV operations.
  • As-needed work with the Tempe facility on warehouse operations.
  • Comply with AV Concepts "Property Location Appearance Standards".
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Director.

Job Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience combined in AV Operations and technician operations of AV equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of video equipment including single screen projection configuration, playback, basic switching, simple camera operation.
  • Basic knowledge of audio equipment including 2 speaker and 2.1 speaker setup and configuration, ability to ring a room out and tune tune the speaker, setup and manage multiple wireless microphones including RF coordination.
  • Basic knowledge of lighting and power distribution. Setup wireless and wired dmx and simply color a space or set up a simple stage wash. Connect power distribution and check it is delivering power connectivity.
  • Basic knowledge of Meeting room AV including operation of Zoom and Teams meeting including screen sharing, basic computer configuration and connection to the internet. Using products like web-cameras, external mics and Owls.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and have excellent organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills; managing multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively handling stressful situations while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Proficient with Google Drive (Doc and Sheets), PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must be willing to work the hours that the property and their clients' events require. May include evenings and weekends.
  • OSHA certification preferred.
  • Lift and Fall Arrest certification preferred.
  • Truss assembly experience preferred.
  • Footwear meeting ASTM F2413 standards.
