Join Our Team as an Operator at ARRO Water Services!
  • This position assists in the operations of medium-sized facilities, performs routine tasks, and supports the work of senior operators and engineers.
  • This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision assists in the management of medium sized facilities. Moves about plant site, enters confined spaces to perform tasks.
  • Attend client meetings with senior level operators or project manager as required.
  • Assist in the coordination of construction/operation's-related activities at treatment plants to minimize delays and interference with the operation of the plants.
  • Serve in a support role, as needed, to senior operators and engineers.
  • Responsible for bringing assigned project tasks in on schedule and within budget.
  • Make every effort to meet or exceed assigned utilization goals.
  • Works with supervisor to maintain good client relations.
  • Attends seminars and courses to expand knowledge in the areas of operations and engineering related work.
  • Attains membership in professional organizations.
  • May be required to perform field services such as construction observation, sump pump inspections and/or manhole inspections or assist in field measurements.
  • May be required to attend client meetings.
  • Any other duties, as necessary, to drive to the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in operations management or engineering field.
  • Water/wastewater license in the state of operation is preferred.
Physical Requirements – Work Environment
  • Ability to sit and/or sometimes for long periods of time.
  • Frequently climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion
  • Light work: Frequently exerting up to 20 pounds of force. Occasionally, may perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force, e.g., loading plotter with paper and infrequently may perform very heavy work if asked to remove a man-hole cover.
  • Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Subject to extreme heat above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to extreme cold temperatures below 32 degrees for a period of more than one hour.
  • Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions i.e. moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to chemicals.
  • Subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin, i.e., fumes, odors, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
  • Subject to vibrations, infrequently
  • Noise level in the work environment at times may be sufficient to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level, infrequently.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection, operation of machines; using measurement devices and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to eyes.
Daily Work Location/Hours
  • The employee will be responsible for reporting to assigned work sites as per the established schedule. This position involves consistent fieldwork, which requires the individual to be present at designated locations on time and ready to perform the necessary tasks.
  • This will be a part-time role, working every other or sometimes every weekend.
