Job Description โ€“ Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Clinician Type: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Unit/Dept: Anesthesiology

Unit Details: CRNA providing anesthesia services across Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with occasional float support to Vallejo Medical Center. Provider will participate in a 1:3 MD supervision care team model covering a broad adult surgical case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, GYN, GI, thoracic, neuro, ENT, and OB. OB experience preferred but not required. No cardiac and no expected pediatric cases.

Setting: Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery Center
Daily Patient Volume: Variable depending on room assignment
Additional Providers / Support Staff: Care team model with supervising anesthesiologist
EMR System(s): EPIC (HealthConnect)
Lic/Certs: Active CA CRNA license required at presentation | BLS | ACLS | PALS preferred
BC/BE: Board Certified CRNA required


Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months with option to extend

Shift / Schedule: Mondayโ€“Sunday mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
Additional Shift Types: 12-hour OB shifts available
Weekend Expectations: Prefer commitment to 1โ€“2 weekends per month (with weekdays off)
Call Coverage: None

Housing/Travel: All-Inclusive
Pay Structure: All-Inclusive Pay Package โ€” no facility reimbursements allowed


Notes:
Float coverage to Vallejo Medical Center as needed.
OB experience highly preferred though not required for assignment eligibility.
PALS preferred but may be flexible depending on candidate background.


Required Experience:
Experience supporting general OR anesthesia case mix including ortho, GI, ENT, thoracic, neuro, and GYN.
Comfort working within medical supervision anesthesia care team structure.

Preferred Experience:
OB anesthesia experience.
Availability for weekend coverage rotation.
