Description:
May 5 start only. RN with oncology experience for Infusion Clinic serving adult patients with average daily census of 50. Busy infusion room with multi-drug regimens. Nurse will see ~6 patients per day. No weekends, no on call. Pyxis med system and EPIC documentation. Provider support includes interpretation services, pharmacy, and social services.
3 years Experience Required.
EPIC experience preferred. 40 hours orientation (more as needed). Caribbean blue scrubs (not provided).
Certifications Required: BSN, BLS (AHA), Chemo Cert
Certifications Preferred: OCN, ONS/ONCC

Skills/Experience Required:

Chemotherapy (administration, body fluid handling post-chemotherapy, continuous infusion, IV push administration, management/disposal cytotoxic spills, monitoring, oral administration, recognize/communicate abnormal lab values); Accessing ports; Care and management of ports; Central line blood draw; Central line/implanted line care; infusion pump management; intravenous hydration/multivitamins; PICC line care; Starting IVs; Medications (antiemetic, antitumor, antibiotic, corticosteroids, neupogen, hormonal therapy); IV push narcotic agents; Neutropenic precautions; phlebotomy skills
