Description
Directs, coordinates and/or performs music which is liturgically appropriate for parish liturgies and other designated celebrations.
(Includes Organist, Choir Director, Cantor) Responsible for leading and/or accompanying the assembly for the musical component of weekend liturgies and other services (e.g. weddings, funerals).
Duties may involve selection of music, teaching music to the assembly, supervision of volunteer musicians/cantors, participation with committees to implement the parish's vision of worship. Reports to Pastor, Liturgist, Music Director or other parish administrator. Requires instrumental and/or vocal skills and knowledge of Roman Catholic Liturgy.
This is a part time position with the possibility of weekend only hours.
