Job Description

Our Lewiston location is looking for a regular part time Security Guard to provide basic plant security to protect employees, facilities, and plant assets.

This position is approximately 24 hours per week and is eligible for CCI Speer benefits.

You must attach a resume to be considered for this position.

Pay is $16.75 - $18.04hour + shift differential.

  • Must be able to work Weekend swing shift: Saturday and Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:00am
  • Make foot and/or vehicle-assisted rounds. Perform fire watch during rounds.
  • Watch for theft. Look for vandals and vandalism.
  • Check for illegal entry. Logs all activity in daily logbook, such as items that are not routine.
  • Follow Standard Works for Security Guard.
  • Report leaking pipes. Report mechanical faults of machinery and equipment.
  • Check doors and windows that are supposed to be closed and locked. Check gates to ensure they are closed and/or locked if appropriate.
  • Investigate vehicle/traffic accidents.
  • Check badges of employees accessing plant. Conduct random searches of vehicles and employees entering and exiting the plant.
  • Warns violators and documents any infractions such as loitering, trespassing, smoking in restricted areas, and carrying forbidden articles.
  • Make periodic patrol of parking lots, either on foot or by driving vehicle. Issue parking violations and watch for suspicious activity.
  • Assist in handling workplace violence scenarios. Escort employees and others off plant with plant leadership or law enforcement.
  • Use fire extinguisher to put out small, incipient-type fires.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must possess basic mathematics skills.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Must be trained in threat response within 90 days of employment.
  • Must be certified in First Aid/CPR within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Must have valid driver's license without restrictions.
  • Must not be prohibited from shipping, transporting, or possessing any firearm or ammunition under the Gun Control Act or Safe Explosives Act.
  • Must not meet the definition of a prohibited person under 19 U.S.C. 922(g).
  • Successful candidates must complete and pass a post-employment ATF background check and receive a letter of clearance.

Work Environment:

Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Pay Range:

Hourly Rate: $16.26 - $17.51

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
