We are seeking an EHS Fire Watch Technician who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about promoting health and safety standards in the field. What You’ll Do:
Be responsive to requests, messages, and emails from clients and department staff.
Be thoroughly familiar with the area(s) being patrolled.
Perform patrol operations according to instructions from State Fire Marshal.
Understand and implement the procedure(s) for notifying the State Fire Marshal.
Activate the facility’s fire alarm/sprinkler system when required or necessary.
Understand and implement the procedures for notifying the building/facility occupants.
Notify the fire service of an emergency.
Utilize the appropriate fire watch log to document patrol rounds and any significant findings
Complete all required documentation for each shift in a thorough manner.
Relay any special orders or pertinent information to relief personnel and management.
What You Bring:
The ability to clear an additional government mandated clearance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to think and act quickly to mitigate problems.
Must be comfortable giving clear directives and enforcing procedures.
Ability to work long hours, including overtime and double time.
Ability to work a variety of shift hours, such as overnight, weekends, early mornings, midday, etc.
