Job description

21 hours bi-weekly, 4-7pm, every other weekend

We are currently seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to join our dedicated Nutrition Services team. This position plays an essential role in delivering quality food service to patients, employees, and guests while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare, serve, and deliver meals following daily production sheets
  • Sanitize kitchenware, food prep areas, and service stations
  • Handle food items safely, following all health and hygiene guidelines (HACCP, TJC, etc.)
  • Label, date, and store food properly, using First In/First Out (FIFO) method
  • Support infection control and kitchen cleanliness at all times

 Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: Previous experience in food service, customer service, or healthcare preferred
  • Skills:
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Able to weigh, measure ingredients, and perform basic math
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs
  • Tolerate temperature fluctuations and kitchen noise
  • Follow all safety and sanitation protocols
